Causes of Failure of Earthfill Dams.Craft&Knowladge

hey guys welcome to Craft & Knowledge.

Earth filled dams are less rigid and more susceptible to failure like most of engineering structures earth dams may fail due to various reasons such as faulty design improper construction and poor maintenance practices etc different causes of failure of earth fill dams are explained in this video stay tuned. causes a failure of earth fill dams different causes of failure of earth fill dams are as follows

1.

    Hydraulic failures of

Earth fill dams for out every 10 earth and dams have failed due to hydraulic failures the hydraulic failure of an earthen dam rise due to any of the following causes erosion of upstream face erosion of downstream tow due to over topping due to frost action due to formation of gullies

 2.

      Seepage failure of earth fill

Dams seepage through earth and dam is casual but it is considered as harmless when it is limited or controllable if it is uncontrollable or concentrated seepage then there occurs problems such as piping and sloughing one out of every three failed dam cases have seepage failures seepage failure arises due to piping through foundation piping through damn body slumping of downstream toe

3.

   Structural failure of earth fill

Dams another cause for failure of earthen dams is structural failures about one-quarter of earthen dams have failed due to structural failures structural failure arises due to sliding a foundation sliding of embankment that's all for today see you in the next Article.

Air India, My experience with Air India

Make air india great again that's tata's mission after the takeover in 2022.  the indian flag carrier was once known as the very best airline in the world setting standards across the world in terms of service and comfort, it even became the very first airline to feature an old jet fleet in 1962 being the world's most profitable airline but over the years the mara raja started to struggle mainly due to mismanagement poor decision making and the introduction of other airlines slowly but surely her india turned into a national embarrassment with poorly maintained planes and state employees were rather flying for the benefits instead of the passion of aviation sucking the blood out of the maharaja in january 2022 tata is taking over control again, and there is no doubt that indians have high hopes that it will turn the airline around reaching new heights so i went to india to inspect the airline myself and see whether there is a new spirit among the staff so please join me on...
